Skill Points and Enchantments

I have gotten to level 6, and i have no idea how to spend my 5 skill points, and also if i use an enchantment table on a sword, will it have the normal minecraft enchantments or ones that are in the mod?

Oh and another thing i forgot to post is that i am a steve warrior, dont know if that changes anything.
