Tekkit Freezes when I open my inventory?

Hey guys,

Recently I've started going on servers, playing with other people, etc etc, but whenever I open my inventory, or open a chest or furnace, my Tekkit freezes and I have to shut it down with task manager. Any help?

I get the same issue on my laptop. It usually only happens when I initially launch the game, then over time it fades away. My laptop is fast, but the graphics card on it is a piece of crap.
