Launcher doesn't work

I downloaded and tried every single launcher but they all say,

CHECKING LAUNCHER VERSION

Then it closes

I don't know what is going on, I have the latest java edition, the right launcher and a clean minecraft.

What more do I need?

EDIT: For some reason the technic launcher logo is stuck on my screen and it won't close

Mine is doing the same thing I download, it downloads, I click on the launcher and it asks for access to the internet and I say always, then it opens a window saying the same thing as the other guy but then it does nothing. I sit there waiting half an hour 4 it to open but it doesn't. I try re-downloading 3 times but the same thing occurs. What do I do!?!
