Kalach159 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I have a little problem i was plaing tekkit about half year but about 3 days im getting lagged over time and i have to restart game this has never happened to me but im gettin angry about it , i can play about 15-30 minutes then i start getting lower and lower fps until about 45-60 minutes i get 'Out of mem' screen only things i done recently is i huw changed is i allocated 1.5 g instead of 1g ram in launcher and i updated to 3.1.3 im running win xp 32bit java i think 7 4g ram (allocated 3.4) processor intel core 2 duo 2.66 ps my english isnt good :D Quote
dwwojcik Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I wouldn't allocate that much of your RAM to Minecraft. I have 4 gigs as well and 2 is enough for lag-free gameplay. Quote
Kalach159 Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 but i has 1 and now i set to 1.5 Quote
Kalach159 Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 no idea how to add img but there is only 'Always use dev builds' 'Always use recommended builds' 'Manual build selection' 'Retry after connection timeout' then something with backups and 'Memory to allocate [512MB,1GB,1536MB]' and Clear cahce Quote
Kalach159 Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 ow i got an ide i move all my tekkit classic files to this dir and use the new launcher in new launcher i can only allocate 1g Quote
Sciobtha Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I may sneak a similar problem in here. I am running tekkit with Java 7u25 (latest) I play on win 7 x64 and get andom lag spikes I will be running at 40-45 fps then it will drop down to 3 or so. I have the permgen option selected as well but am unsure why it is doing this. Quote
dwwojcik Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 If you have 32 bit java, you can only allocate 1 GB of RAM. If you have a 64 bit OS, bit 64 bit Java. Lag can be caused by not enough allocated RAM, a bad graphics card, a graphics card setting that tells java to use integrated processor graphics, or an overall bad computer, and some more I'm sure. Sciobtha Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Ah, so the dedicated 256 MB integrated graphics card in my laptop just can't keep up. Good point! Quote
