Tekkit will not launch

Description of Problem:

Ever since I downloaded the 1.1.8 Tekkit update, I havent been able to launch tekkit. The launcher comes up fine, but when I click launch it shows the tekkit window for a few seconds, but it is a white screen, then it shows the following message. I understand what it means, but shouldent it also have been updated to work with minecraft 1.5.2? also, I don't know how to fix it without loosing NEI.

Remove it from your coremods folder and check HERE for updates.

Honestly, I don't know. I don't think so, but backing up is never a bad idea.

EDIT: Nope. It didn't work. Same error message.
