Unloading liquid from Steve cart tanks

I am having trouble unloading liquid with the liquid manager from the steve carts. Which kind of rail is required or how do I do it? I want to carry lava from my BC pump to refill my obsidian reserves

you need a detector rail and the correct configuration for the side the rail is attached to. make sure its the order you want. Ex: unload from tank or load from manager into tank.
