Cannot get Galacticraft oil with the Portable Fuel Extractor! Help?

I am playing a 2 person server with one of my friends, and we want to go to the moon. I build 2 empty liquid canisters and a portable fuel extractor. When I found oil, I kept trying to get it with the extractor and nothing happened. I was holding right click on the source block. Is there a bug? Am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated.

just use it on any other block of the oil, not on the sourceblock, and it should work fine (if not, try the edge-blocks)
