How do I set up Tekkit on Multicraft servers?

Recommended Posts

well thats not very hard but first you need to download the server.

http://206.217.207.1/files/TechnicLauncher.exe <------ server download

then the next thing you do is install java 7 if you haven't already,

then next you need to change the values in the runner so your server wont use to much ram,

so in the lauch.bat you click with your right mouse button and press edit then u copy paste this.

"java -Xmx1G -Xms512m -jar Tekkit.jar nogui

pause"

without those " ofcouse

btw you need to be sure that ur path is located to java 7

1. Right click “My Computer” icon

2. Choose “Properties” from context menu

3. Click “Advanced” tab (“Advanced system settings” link in Vista&7)

4. In the Edit windows, modify PATH by adding the location of the class to the value for PATH. If you do not have the item PATH, you may select to "add a new variable"* and add PATH as the name and the location of the class as the value.

the value is this: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft\Shared;C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin"

then everything should work..

btw if you run on 64-bit just install the java 32 bit that works also...

if something isn't working just say!

This worked for me. I'd try it.

I wiped out everything except files related to this one.

Please note, however: It will assume it's running on 8 gigs of ram, and you need to change that in a config file.

My hoster caught that and fixed it for me, so I'm not sure what file.

Good luck!
