Considering a server conversion to Tekkit.

Currently, I am running a 1.6.2 Bukkit server. In the interest of attracting more players, I am considering a conversion to Tekkit. I am fairly heavily modded, mostly for defense against hackers and general dbags. Bukkit and 'standard' Minecraft is something I am familiar and comfortable with, but am interested in playing and running a new mode.

Question 1. Will it be difficult to convert my current map to Tekkit?

2. Is it compatible with other standard Bukkit Mods?

3. If I begin conversion and I start to pull my hair out, is there a teamspeak or mumble channel I can join for help?

You're going to have to start a new map. In addition to the prospect of backporting your map to 1.5 which likely wouldn't work, you'd be missing all the ores.
