Solar system map? i want my normal map

edit: I figured it out, its called the Galaxy map? What is this thing? Ive been to the moon and a starting space station, but what else is it for? I cant view anything as far as I can tell even if I select a planet / moon / etc. So what is it for? Does it open another map somehow of the planet portion ive explored? Or hopefully there is some permanant map like in Hexxit when you press M??? any info on this mod would be useful

The map is from galacticraft. I don't think it's fully implemented.
