Hexxit not updating to 1.6

Operating System: Mac 10.6.8

Java Version: I dont know how to find out the version

Description of Problem:

When I launched hexxit, it said do you want to update. i clicked yes. it was updating, but then it said "update failed retries jsons 0%" it then updated again, but not to 1.6, to 1.5.2

Error Messages:

Update failed. retries jsons 0%

Error Log:

It's not meant to be 1.6, that was a launcher update. Hexxit is still for 1.5.2, because it's waiting for mods.
