How do I set up a Hexxit server?

Hey guys, I just wanted to know how you set up a server. I wanted to make one for some friends and all, and I wanted some information. Please excuse me if I sound extremely stupid in these posts, as I am new to this. Also, those Videos of how to make Hexxit servers are complete nonsense. I am running on a windows, fyi. Also, if you have problems on your own, (I mean absolutely no offense to this) make your own posts for them, for this is a discussion PAGE, not limited to one thread.
