Launcher Version: 297

Operating System: Windows 7 64bit

Java Version: Java Version 7 Update 46 (build 1.7.0_45-b18)

Antivirus Program: None

Description of Problem:

Ive downloaded the most recent versions of Java and the Technic launcher, but when I attempt to open the launcher, nothing happens. At first I thought it was the Java, so I uninstalled Java (I uninstalled Java JDK and JRE). After reinstalling the most up to date java, the launcher still wasn't working. So I opened Task Manager, stopped all tasks that weren't essential. Then I attempted to open the launcher again, and on Task Manager under "processes" the launcher would start running then stop a few moments later. The "Java Platform SE Binary" would start then stop. There is no crash report, just 2 folders in the .technic folder called "Logs" and a JSON file called "settings".

Inside the "Logs" folder there is this-

I'm getting this same problem. Running Windows 8; un-installed + installed latest Java JRE, running as administrator, rebooted computer, and run in compatibility mode for windows 7 for no success. I'm using the windows launcher; I some "cisco net security" is telling me that the latest builds have malware and won't let me download, so I haven't re-installed the launcher itself. I also tried using the Linux version which WILL download, but after opening, selecting a mod pack and running, I just get vanilla minecraft.
