Restrict Changes

Hi All,

Been running a private tekkit classic server for a while but wanted to allow some people in but restrict them from making any changes what so ever.

I have had a look myself and can see a mod called permissionsex and one called modifyworld, but I wanted some opinions on the best mod to do this (or if there is functionality already built into tekkit)?

PermissionsEx is a permission system (allows you to differentiate your players into groups, and give them individual/group based command power. Such as Admin group being able to use /ban and /mute, while Moderators can only use /mute), and ModifyWorld is what you are looking for. ModifyWorld will need a permissions system, so I recommend you use PermissionsEx, as they are made by the same people.

If you don't like those, or think they are too complex to use, then try using Essentials. It gives you a permissions system, world protection, and a few pretty cool commands. Or use both, they should play nice together, but it's been a while since I've used either.

I tried permissionsex but couldnt get it to work, the jar is in my server's plugin folder but when I type in pex or /pex on the server console it returns nothing?
