How do you increase memory for technic launcher?

How do you increase memory in technic launcher past 1gb? I know there is an options menu, but the most I can select is 1 gb. Does anyone have a solution for this? If so post them.

If the maximum you can select is 1GB, that means you have 32 bit java.

If you have a 32 bit Operating System, you're out of luck.

If you have a 64 bit Operating System, install 64 bit Java.
