Problem when extracting 'scala-library.jar'

Operating System: Windows Vista 64-Bit

Java Version: Version 7 Update 25

Antivirus Program: Comodo Antivirus (currently off)

Description of Problem:

When starting up the Hexxit Pack through the launcher, the game begins the startup, up until "Extracting 'scala-library.jar'", where the startup stops, and terminates almost immediately afterwards. The only fix I have is reinstalling the pack, and it only works for a single session.

So now it's finally gone past scala-library.jar, but now it stops at version.json, both 0% and 100%, and other times, it will just stop halfway while extracting random files.

On an unrelated note, my technic launcher randomly deletes itself off of my desktop.

Im having the same problem! I thought it was just happening when i downloaded custom modpacks. But mines stopping on scala-library when i try to install Magicians Cookbook. I'd really appreciate if someone got this fixed.
