Auth Servers Inaccessible when opening technic launcher

Question

Posted

Launcher Version: 338

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit

Java Version: Version 7 update 45 (build 1.7.0_45-b18)

Antivirus Program: Microsoft Security Essentials, Malware Bytes

Description of Problem:

When I try to open the launcher it asks me to log in using my Minecraft account, but no matter what I put in there it pops up an error box saying "Auth Servers Inaccessible

An error occurred while attempting to reach Minecraft.net"

I tried loading Minecraft directly from Minecraft.net and it lets me log in and play fine.

Error Messages:

Auth Servers Inaccessible, an error occurred while attempting to reach Minecraft.net

I am currently experiencing the same issue on my desktop. My laptop will log on just fine, but my desktop gives me "Auth Servers Inaccessible" every single time. Can anyone help me fix this, please?

Sorry, the issue doesn't appear to be with the launcher, but minecrafts authentication servers.

I'm getting the exact same thing.

I decided that I hadn't played tekkit for a while so I was going to give it another go, because its a good game and all, so I loaded it up and for some strange reason it came up with the tekkit platform. I thought there must have been an update that I missed but it didn't bother me too much, what did bother me was that no matter what I tried typing in the Auth Servers were apparently Inaccessable.

If anyone knows how to fix this, plz tell us! (i.e. frogger35...)

The issue is not with technic. The issue is with contacting Minecrafts servers. Make sure your launcher version is up to date, if issue persists, disable antivirus. If that still doesn't help, bug Mojang about it.

Mac version has absolutely nothing to do with authentication servers. Never run a version of technic pack not built for your OS, always run the most up to date version of your OS's particular launcher.

hello I am new to this site..  to repair the issue check your antivirus certification verification and turn it off .

You can turn off your antivirus but it may not always turn off this certification.. My son had the same problem with his computer problem is now repaired and I just turned the verification back on once tekkit and minecraft started working.  Mainly this is just the antivirus saying communications with the site that it is trying to connect to is safe.
