MediumSizeJock Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 So I'm playing around with custom packs trying to find a new way to play, and basically what I'd like is a version of the You Are Not Alone pack but with a few things disabled, and with big dig-esque custom ore generation. I'm having no problems with removing the packs I don't want, I just can't seem to figure out how to change the ore gen settings. Is it a mod, or is it a config in vanilla that I'm not finding? Any help would be appreciated. For those of you curious, if I ever get this thing published it will be called nomadicraft. The concept is to play the game without ever establishing a home base. Right now you start with a bed, an ender chest, and a book and quill to note anything interesting in, and you can't spend 2 nights in the same chunk. I want to encourage players to keep moving, both through new rules and through interesting things on the surface. This includes making ores available at or near y=64, because I'd like players to be able to battle their way through the nether and the end without having to settle down and establish a mine the way one normally does.
MediumSizeJock Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 update: do I have to install anything other than cofhcore to let me edit the world gen? I've tried copying it from my big dig folder to my YANA folder, but i'm not seeing any change in world gen (other than it taking forever, even longer than the new amplified world gen in vanilla).
TwoTails Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I do not think there is any way to do this.
devoeryan1 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 CoFH Core has a configuration file that could help you out. PM me for further questions, because it's hard to get the handle of. Edit: Fail, I think I'm blind. You must enable vanilla override in the World.cfg, that should fix it.
