Cant update to 1.6

Launcher Version: 1.5

Operating System: Windows 8

Java Version: Version 7 Update 45

Antivirus Program: Norton

Description of Problem:

I cant seem to update my launcher to 1.6. I saw a post on the website stating that its now compatible with 1.6 but my launcher wont update and I'm stuck with 1.5. I know this is 1.5 because at the bottom right it tells me and because 1.6 vanilla items arnt in it. Please help.

Are you saying tekkit doesn't launch in 1.6? Because if thats the case, yea, Tekkit isn't 1.6 yet. the LAUNCHER now supports 1.6 mods, which you can find in a number of packs, and with luck, tekkit will update shortly for 1.6 itself.

thank heaven for search... was wondering why I was getting MC versions from 1.2 up to 1.5 when launching various mod packs through the Technic Launcher... can't wait for the update!
