Psalms
We would like to add Tekkit to our server, which is mostly just a group of real life friends, however one of our users has a rather old computer. We were wondering if adding these mods to the server may cause him the inability to play. So, my question is, how much more computer intensive is a Tekkit server than a vanilla server with just a couple of mods currently?
Flynxx
I usually get 300ish fps while playing vanilla online, max graphics (far render, all the good stuff set to fancy, smooth lighting... you get the idea). When I play my server on Tekkit, I get about 40~ with most settings on fast, some turned off, and normal render distance. It's a hefty modpack, but totally worth the time. M11xStryker
Hard to say. Personally, I suggest you friend try tekkit on his computer and see how it goes. If it works well, good for him. If not, well, you're in a pickle.
