Tekkit Lite Update

When will tekkit lite update to the latest minecraft version?

Can someone tell me what is the problem?

It probably never will. It uses some mods which have stopped updating, mainly Redpower2, which would basically destroy every single world, and take away a massive chunk of content which hasn't been replaced by mods already in Lite (although a lot of the functionality is replicated by mods in Tekkit Main) if removed.
