No sound with any modpack

I recently created my own modpack and ran it through the Technic Launcher, but when it loads there is no sound whatsoever on whatever modpack I choose to launch. I have tried leaving it open to download the sounds but it still doesn't seem to work, so any advice is greatly appreciated,
