modpacks wont download

Operating System: windows 7

Java Version: 7 update 45

Antivirus Program: Norton

Description of Problem:

modpacks like hexxit, tekkit, and big dig show an error when i try to download them via first launch

Error Messages:

error unzipping a file for the following pack: (whatever modpack i try to use)

error opening zip file

please consult the modpack author

Error Log:

there is none, the log says nothing about errors, there is a dialog box the shows the error message

Update to the newest launcher version, you are 60 versions behind and we have had some significant changes. If issue persists, disable your antivirus.
