Can't download

OS: Alienware running Windows 7

Java Version: Verson 7 update 45

Description of Problem:

I got a new Alien laptop and wanted to install Tekkit so to play Hexxit. I am not sure about anything technical when stuff like this happens. I tried opening it as an admin and deleted and reloaded the launcher countless times. I also turned off my AV and FW. I am at my wits end here.

HELP PLEASE!
