Description of Problem: My launcher crashes when it is "checking launcher version"

Error description : N/A

Personal: I currently have no idea about my current problem , although I wish to play tekkit as I have not played it yet. I am really excited and hope to get an answer as soon as possible . I have no idea about some of the stuff you asked us to fill in . I hope that it is not a problem to you. About the version of java ... It should be the latest or so.

Try using the Java launcher instead of the EXE.

I have also had the same problem with the launcher and i used the advise to use the Java launcher, which i believe is .jar, and that also doesnt work.
