dchernin Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I'm trying to set up my son with MC on a different computer without losing all of his work. Just copying the .technic and .minecraft directory trees doesn't seem to do it--the program seems to crash when I press "play" on the launcher. If necessary, I can provide the logs--but is there some relatively quick and easy process for doing this? Thanks...
disconsented Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Just redownload the pack with another instance of the launcher then move your save into the new instance
Torezu Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 You may also need to worry about the installed/working Java version and any issues you might encounter with antivirus or firewall on the other computer. I have had no issues copying Minecraft and/or the Technic Launcher directories or individual modpacks to another computer.
