I can't connect to server.

So first I made a hexxit server for me and my friend to play on, using Hamachi, everything work fine for me if I typed in "localhost" in , server adresse, but when we tried typing in the ip adresse from Hamachi it wouldn't work, so my friend tried making a server, same thing happend, but when another friend made one they could both connect, but I couldn't so I'm wondering if there is something wrong only on my side of it. Anyone know what could be wrong?

I would recommend to step off hamachi and just port forward. it has been too long for me since i worked with hamachi how that worked again. i can help you with portforarding if you want to.
