executable bit linux

I have linux so i downloaded the linux version of technic launcer, but when i try to start the launcher i get this message:

 

The file '/home/michael/Bureaublad/TechnicLauncher.jar' is not marked as executable.  If this was downloaded or copied from an untrusted source, it may be dangerous to run.  For more details, read about the executable bit.

 

 

 

Can someone help me with this?

Or can a developer from this launcher mark it as executable?

This is something you need to do. Right click the file > Select Properties > Select Permissions Tab > Check Allow executing file as program.
