I'm creating a custom mod pack, and whenever I try to set the "Modpack location" URL and save the modpack configuration I get the error

You must provide a valid link to your custom zip.

I'm hosting it at ftp://chbaker0.tk/MyModpack.zip and I can't figure out what is wrong with that URL. It looks pretty valid to me, and it brings me to download the modpack zip. What's up here?

Make sure it's a direct download link, you can do so in Chrome by copying it in Downloads.

I also attempted to host it through Drobox and paste the link as suggested in the pinned post "List of good places to host your modpack file" in this same forum, and get the exact same error.

I found out the issue: apparently the Technic platform doesn't support hosting the modpack on FTP...oddly enough, considering that is a pretty common way to host files. It works with an HTTP server hosting my modpack file.

actually the Technic Platform does support FTP, you just need to use the Solder API.
