AlgerochGaming Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Greetings. Recently, my Tekkit Classic has decided that 15GB of RAM is no longer enough to play multiplayer, despite never having a problem until recently. I have searched the Internet for answers, only to find "solutions" that work for some people and not me. I would be extremely grateful if anyone could post a solution other than changing the amount of memory dedicated to Tekkit because I have tried that and it doesn't work. Thanks. P.S. Also, if you post a solution please EXPLAIN it rather than bombarding me with technical terms. P.P.S I am on a Windows 8 desktop with 16GB RAM and 1TB internal memory. I have the latest Java (7u51).
AlgerochGaming Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 I just tried with 3GB and below. I got the same "Out of Memory" message
dwwojcik Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I just tried with 3GB and below. I got the same "Out of Memory" message You have a different problem then. The way Java garbage collection works more than 2 or 3 GB will really slow down your game.
AlgerochGaming Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 How would I get that message to stop appearing because I've always ran Tekkit on 15GB and I always get over 200FPS and it's never had a problem until now.
AlgerochGaming Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this?
AlgerochGaming Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Just managed to get on Tekkit Classic - now there's missing textures/objects, REI's minimap is gone and it's virtually unplayable. Is anyone willing to help?
