additional mods that are compatible with hexxit?

I know this has been asked probably many times before...but I haven't seen any really clear to responses. As far as I know hexxit is on 1.5.2 and won't be upgraded anytime soon because some of the mods used, aren't available any higher than 1.5.2. However....what are some good mods that work with it when i'm running a server for myself and my friends? I've only gotten "Mutant Creatures" mod to work....but everything else I've tried (that said it was a 1.5.2 mod) crashes, or doesn't load.

 

I am looking for mods that add maybe more creatures / enemies to increase the difficulty of survival mode.

 

Any suggestions?

Have you used the Battle Towers that spawn in the world already?

Try Archimedes airship mod

I think if you put in other mods then all players have to get that mod too?
