disable mods

how is it possible to disable mods on a server. I used to run a server with tekkit defaults, but I found the EE is very overpowered on multiplayer (I have nothing against it on singleplayer though). My old server began to feel like creative mode, how do I disable EE on a new server?

There is a config folder at your server files.

Open it and look for ModLoader.cfg, look for the line mod_EE=on and put mod_EE=off.

If you'd like to keep parts of EE, you can also disable on a per item basis, for example keeping the transmutation tablets while getting rid of generator kind of things.
