Connection Reset

Whenever I try to join my dedicated server I get the error message "Connection Lost: End of stream" I had my friend try to join as well and he recieved the same error message. I'm running build 1.2.8d tekkit and my java has been updated. Any ideas?

EDIT: I also get this error message some times "Connection Lost      Internal exception:java.net.SocketException: Connection reset"
