Attack of the B-Team NEI not changing to Recipe mode

 Hi I have this error in attack of the b-team. My game starts in Cheat mode normally and then when I try to change it it just stays the same. I've also tried to change it in the config file but that hasn't worked either. The options for certain stuff showing in the screen like the time of day gamemode and stuff like that keeps showing up even thought i've deleted it.

Hope someone can help.
