Problem when starting up launch.bat

Hi i have a problem when i try to launch by Tekkit server,it says

Error occurred during initialization VM

Could not Reserve enough space for object heap

Could not create the Java virtual machine

then it says 'press any key to continue' which i do and closes the cmd

Btw i am running on a 8GB ram laptop so i should have enough space for object heap.

Do Pls help me with problem
