Tornado help

Hello, I have look online for information about tornadoes and couldnt find anything, I want to know how often then appear and if they appear in certain biomes more than others. If anyone knows the answer to my questions please reply them, thanks.

There are settings in the config for frequency and duration of all the weather events for the mod. There isn't a setting for biomes or where they decide to spawn though as far as I know.
