Bronze

I'm having trouble making the Galacticraft 2 compressed bronze crafting recipe for the portable oil extractor.  I saw instructions that called for two copper ingot compressed to copper but it didn't.  I can't do the Thermal Expansion recipe either.

 

Can someone help?

Bronze isn't pure copper, it's an alloy of copper and tin.  If you've got a smeltery, simply combine 3 parts copper with 1 part tin in there.

 

Alternatively, "Tinker's Alloy" is also a type of bronze.  You can pulverize tin and copper then combine them on a crafting bench to get tinkers alloy blend (using the same ratio, 3:1 copper to tin) then furnace that, or just do the same thing in an induction smelter.

 

Either of those metals should then be usable in the compressor to get 'compressed bronze'.
