Posted

Computer stats:

8g's ram

quad core 3.17ghz processer

64x windows

Launcher/pack Version: 2.1.1

Operating system: Windows 64bit

Version fo java: v7 64 bit

Problem:

I have been trying to make a side server for tekkit for friends but when i try to put it under the port of 25563 it doesnt want to work/connect

Heres a paste bin of my server properties http://pastebin.com/RqMNQbqq

Also i Have installed JRE 7 64bit

But what i find wierd is that when i run it under the 25565 port it works fine But i cant have it on that cause i already have a server on that port that i cant move and yes i know you cant have 2 servers on one port im not new to making servers and this has been the first problem i have had.

Error Messages: None i get no error messages when i try to join

If you have any Help or Need more info leave a comment

Thanks

It sounds like it could be just general networking issues then, not something really Tekkit-specific.

Other things to check:

- make sure you're putting the ":25563" on the hostname or IP address of what the client connects to.

- if this is on your home machine, you may need to change the port forwarding rules on your router (might have done it before for the default port and forgotten about it).

- check and post the launcher logs of clients that fail to connect.
