Unable to disable NEI tooltips

So I just downloaded attack of the b team and went through the options. I did not prefer the tooltips displayed on the top of the screen. I went to disable them under Options/World/Highlight_tooltips, and apparently they were already hidden. I enabled them and when I went back it showed 2 sets of the same tooltip. Is there a different option that allows me to disable the 1st tooltip?

that isnt NEI, thats WAILA, press 0 on the numpad to get the full range of WAILA options, or press 1 on the numpad to toggle it on/off
