Ram need java 64 help fast Not enough Ram

Hello. My name is Robin, my friends and i was planning to play hexxit and have fun, but i got a problem with the ram. i got 8GB ram but i can only select 1GB. it would been great just getting it to 3GB wich was my plan to use. i downloaded 64 bit java i think but iam not sure whats wrong. please help!

Uninstall all versions of java you have, reboot, then head to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and download the correct one for your system. This will ensure only that version is installed.
