should i get towny to protect spawn

im at my wits end with greifers they keep finding way to by-pass world guard and greif the crap out of my spawn no one knows any ways to block items from being made and no i will not use PEX i hate that plugin with a passion so i read a few post bout towny i dont wana waste time if i wont do the job but bottom line i wana know can tekkit crap be placed in spawn with towny protecting spawn?

Your problem is that you probably have not installed this fix: http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,4645.0.html

That will fix the BlockPlaceEvent from not being called.

Fix any protection system. However EE items like the red morning star's mega impact right click thing I am pretty sure will still bypass. I think there is a fix for that too.
