Bad Packet id 17?

Finally found a server I was interested in running with my buddies and I (Hexxit), Just downloaded the server file into a folder, started it up and let it do its thing, no problems, everything was acting normal.

 

I haven't asked my buddies to try to join yet, but when I try to join myself, I get this:

My buddy tried to join, hes getting the same basic thing, just a different bad packet ID.

I'd bet the hexxit versions do not match.

I was attempting to join with a vanilla minecraft client....

Then I facepalmed super hard.

Then I had a blonde moment.

 

Everything is better now.

That would fit under my versions not matching post Glad you got it resolved lol.
