Specific area does not load and D/C's whoever is near within 15 secs.

Launcher/pack Version: 1.0.1.2

Operating System: Win7 64

Version of Java: 7

Description of Problem: A specific area of the Tekkit world I host for some friends seems to not load (with exception to a few chunks) and then promptly crashes people who witness this after about 15 seconds. I was in the problem area when I logged, so when I logged in to find out about it, I just fell endlessly and was dropped after 15 seconds. When I moved my character file out of the server files to log in fresh, I was fine, until I went back to that specific location.

It is worth noting that this area is where we designated quarries to be located, to which there would have been only one at the most running at the time when this started. We use the Bukkit plugin "Runecraft" to go back and forth between these areas.

I moved the world files out and logged in to a fresh world just fine. Moved the old one back in and still had the issue. Is there anything else that I should be trying to figure this out?

Error Messages: N/A

Link to pastebin of log: N/A

You might have an absolute ton of items sitting on the floor after popping out of pipes if that area has quarries in it. Try /remove items -1 as an OP and see if it removes a ton of items. That said... I don't know if it will remove items from unloaded chunks, which would be an issue if you can't load those chunks without crashing out.

Other options would be to use something like MCedit to remove all the items on the floor (remove "entities" in MCEdit) or delete the chunk(s) in question and let them get built afresh..

might help to link a log file from one of the clients that crashes in the area in question. I'm only guessing what the problem is and a log would probably help.

If it is because of an ass load of items on the ground (which I doubt due to the amount of storage I have and it was just one quarry), I would be quite hosed because I cannot get to the area without being dropped.

I would love to link you a logfile from my own client that crashes, but where does that get stowed? I'll toss it up on pastebin when I get it. This'll be my first major MC issue I couldn't figure out on my own :'(

As it would turn out, I flew out to the quarry land area (took 6 minutes, lol) and just loaded the chunks in as I approached, as opposed to suddenly popping in on everything. One of my more retarded friends also thought it'd be a stellar idea to place 3 massive quarries right near the load area, where he incinerates every basic building block by dropping blocks into a 3x3 square of lava.

Not sure if it is a good idea to do that and if it is to blame or not, but either way, we figured it out.

I appreciate the help bonfire01, you sparked the idea to do what I did in the first place.

That will do it. Kill the quarries and type /remove items -1 (see how many items it kills, for fun). Then use MCEdit to repopulate the chunks. Alternatively, you could just restart the world.

Easiest way is (if you have wordedit installed) is to send a brave soldier into the area while eyou sit back and relax for a while. When that player is there do /remove items -1 and /remove drops -1. Thats should sort it all :).

Remember, you wont remove items in chunks thats not loaded, so u need to sacrifice someone for a few minutes (its really seconds) to load them all up, while you do the cleanup from a distance.
