Operating System: windows 7 x64

Version of Java: the one from the technics website

Description of Problem: game freezes for 0.5 sec followed by around 10-15 secs of a frozen picture of the background you get when logging in to minecraft (looks like dirt texture on standard texture pack)

Followed by endless whitescreen

looks like its on that server only, hmm but there is deffinatly other ppl online on the server so must be something wrong with me right?

At the time of the crash I was running some copper wire into a water mill if that says anything.

I did some fcking around on the server and turns out if i do /spawn and teleport to spawn before my client crashes, I have no problems playing on this server.

Strange I thought and tryed to get back to my base, but in a area of 150 meters around the base is like a "crashfield". As soon as I get within range of my base my client crashes and I have to restart again and do /spawn to not crash again.

What can this be?

you are crashing when you load the chunks around your base. How much memmory do you have allocated to java in the tekkit launcher (in options), can anyone else go near it without crashing and what do you have there?

Most importantly do you have IC2 machines making noise, a quarry or a cobblestone generator there? If it's IC2 machine noise you can turn it off in the config and that might do the trick (not sure on the details but apparently enough machines in close proximity uses a bunch of system resources), if you have a cobble generator or quarry you might have items spilt all over the floor and your PC can't cope with tracking them all. You'll need to get an admin to vaporize all the items then make sure you fix the problem (dump all dirt, sand, marble, cobblestone and gravel in a lava square, a bunch of recylers or (depending on what MK they are) matter furnace(s).

Finally you could ask an admin if they are getting any server side errors before you crash out.

I got 8 gb memory allocated and my pc is very good so I dont think I will have a problem with crashing even if there are allot of stuff on the ground.

but I just spoke to an admin on the server and he said : You've placed something from IC2 in a bad way and it's corrupted your chunk.

So I dont think this will be a problem anymore.

Thanks!
