*BUMP*

I'm terrible sorry if bumping isn't allowed in this forum, but it's been about 4 days since I opened this thread and it's now nearly on the 3rd page.

If this is an unknown problem, which isn't yet solvable then tell me that.

If I'm a f*ing moron who is too stupid do use Google or somethin', then tell me.

But I don't want to check the forum every day, just to see that there is still no answer.

I would really like to play Tekkit again, so please answer. ._.

I had the same problem. All I did was download a new version of the launcher, and it solved itself. I had .jar, then went with .exe.

See if changing your launcher format helps.

Already tried .exe and .jar version of the newest launcher. And I have the same problem with both. Is there a way to download older versions of the launcher?

Mod select is a common problem, listed in the sticky.

As far as the rest, something is messed up with your system so that Java can't connect to the internet (all of the 'java.lang.Exception: Unable to download file' messages).

Do you have a firewall (something besides Avast)? Can that be disabled temporarily, or the exceptions list modified, there? Maybe have it prompt when something wants to get through, then try again.

Java itself may need to be added as the exception.

My router has a extra build-in firewall, I think.

Never had a problem with java before, and vanilla Minecraft works without problem, too. I will try that though.

This is a different issue, but if you're assigning 3GB max to Java, and using a 32bit OS, you are going to have Out of Memory problems at some point. A 32-bit OS, Win7 or not, can only handle 3.5GB or so.

Thanks, I know. That was just to test something out. Already changed it back. :)

I'd also check to see if you are manually able to connect to "http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/". That's roughly where all the files should be coming from

Can't open it in Chrome. Ping using cmd works. :/

EDIT: I disabled my routers firewall and now it's working. But there has to be a way around that, I can't always disable my firewall for that. x.X

EDIT²: Looks like it's working now, even if firewall is enabled.
