Re: Players Disconnect due to a socket error

Your friend didn't accidentally start using the dev build on his client by any chance? Get him to go into options in the launcher and check.

Just to be clear 3 people are connecting to your server and they lag out and crash but you are absolutely fine when you log on?

If so I guess that leaves a couple of options. Either something is causing an issue with their connection to your PC (if ports are forwarded then a firewall is most likely culprit. Would be a bit strange to start being a problem if working fine before and you didn't change anything) OR they are logging in and loading chunks which are lagging them out and dumping them out of the world whereas you are not logging in close enough to those chunks.

You can try disabling your antivirus if you have any then letting them log on, if it solves the problem you need to exempt tekkit in your AV.

You could also try typing /remove items -1 and see if it removes a ton of junk off the floor, either way head over to where they logged out and see if you start lagging and/or crashing there.

Finally.... if none of that works out get your friend to try logging on then posting their log on here since it might be useful for working out the problem.

I am having the exact same problem. The only diffrence is that my friends including myself can't connect.

We had been playing for a while then we got disconnected, Then none of us could get back in.

I get the exact same error messages as allready posted.

Annyone managed to fix this? or have an idea on how to fix it? All help would be great :)

edit: If i deleted my character file on the server and started back at spawn i works, but if i come near the city we are building the same happens again. Seems like only a certain area of the map is bugged.

If you type /gc it will show all the data on the worlds, including the entities. Usually fresh servers have around 40-200 entities on map load. Ive had an instance of a nuclear reactor "glitch exploding" (exploding without creating a creator LOL) creating 7500 entities, That was a lag bomb to sort out teehee.

As soulgriever said, if entities are very high, that will solve your issue
