Cant find or load main class file?

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3

Operating System: Windows 7 64 Bit

Version Of Java: Version 7 Update 4

Description of problem: I have the usual problem when i open up the .exe it comes up with "checking version" and closes. But i have checked the .technic launcher folder and the .jar is there. I also tried right clicking it and using opening it with Open with > Java Se Platform Binary, but then it comes up with a command prompt saying it cant find or load main class file and then closes immediately fast. Its a miracle i can even read what its says before it closes.. Help?

Antivirus Program: Microsoft Essentials.

Error Messages: "Error: could not find or load C:Users\(myname)\Appdata\Roaming\.techniclauncher\technic-launcher.jar

delete the .techniclauncher folder and try again.

i got it to work. You need to get a program called Jarfix. it worked for me

Why would it become hijacked in the first place?

Unless this is, in fact, and AV problem.

i tried this because my computer was reading the executable jar files as regular .jar
