Item Teleport Pipe Connected To Phantom Pipe

Question

Posted

I've been using item teleport pipes to transport the blocks coming from my quarries to my main factory. Usually I have 2 quarries going, each with a teleport pipe, connected to 1 reciever teleport pipe.

Some of my quarries are far away so I place Chunk loading blocks (this has always worked fine). At once point while moving toward my quarry area, the chunk did not load and I had to rejoin the map, it loaded just fine after that but a couple blocks were out of place or missing. The quarry was already done, so I took down everything and moved my quarries elsewhere.

However, after setting up these two new quarries and connecting their teleport pipes to my receiver pipe, I noticed the receiver pipe was constantly switching between 3 and 4 connected pipes, the 4th seems to be one of the pipes used in my old quarries. However, that pipe was destroyed. So my receiver pipe is now connected to a phantom pipe and it is somehow making me lose blocks coming in from my new quarries. I've tried several times to change the frequencies and to replace all teleport pipes on the map, but the receiver pipe always remains connected to the phantom.

Any ideas? I did a search through the forums and didn't really find anything quite like this. However, if I missed a thread about it, I apologize.

Thanks

Not a proper bug report but I'll let it slide as you had a decent amount of information.

Have you tried resetting the server? If not give that a whirl, it might wipe some kind of bad stored info and get rid of that ghost in the shell. Take down all the teleport pipes before doing so.

If that doesn't work, get (or ask if it's not your server) a copy of the error that comes up when it happens (if it does, if it doesn't, ignore this).
