Tekkit Launcher Problems

Version of Java: Win 7 64bit

Description of Problem:

When I click the TechnicLauncher.exe it just quickly shows checking launcher version and the disappears. Nothing after that happens.

I looked at the FAQ they said it might be java version problem so I Downloaded java 64bit version but I still have the same problem.

Then I tried the .jar version of tekkit Yes it worked 5min in game crashes something about "out of memory" (does that every time)

if I play ssp with the .jar it works fine it doesn’t crash.

another thing though is that i run the server on the same computer as a play on other people that play on the server doesn’t DC it only me

im kinda having the same problem when i first downloaded Technic it fully installed but i couldn't play it wouldn't load the client it would check updates then close. so i checked my Java, installed the update now it can't find the Java directory.

@Munken, add more memory to it. When you're in the launcher, press Options and select at least 2GB RAM.

@mad_dog, you should make new threads about this.

But anyways, get Norton out of your system, use Avast or MSE (What munken uses) and it should work. Problem with Norton is, it blocks programs on its own and doesn't even tell you about it. That's why it doesn't work.
