DanielGray Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 For those of you who are stuck with the Technic Launcher 'Checking version' bug that makes it so that after downloading the launcher, it just won't start, here is a fix. Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?x61m0izs31ihy0g *This download link is only for the batch file I created and no the .jar itself!*(Credits to BurningCake for telling me this) Instructions: 1. Go to Technicpack.net 2. Download the Linux Version of the Launcher(or called the jar). It should be "technic-launcher-latest.jar". 3. Extract the downloaded batch file to the same location as the jar file. 4. Run the batch file or edit the memory values inside according to your needs(Default is 512Mb). 5. Voila! For those who used this solution, please post feedback on whether or not it worked and post any error logs for review.
0 BurningCake Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Nice work. Just make it clear that the download link is for the batch file.
0 starr274 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Intersting might want to tell the Tekkit Devs what you did so they can clear up the dozens of threads onr this :)

PLEASE HELP!
0 Torezu Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 This is the same batch file that's included with the Tekkit server files, with the memory values and .jar name changed. We've been suggesting this as a fix for ages. Or you could, you know, just double-click on the .jar after you've installed Java correctly. Edit: The post directly above mine is a good reason why we don't post this "fix" in the Common Problems and Solutions thread. It's too situational.

I have tried close to everything
0 ANDlREW Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I fixed the problem by rolling back from java 7 to java 6
